Brief personal biography

Marjan Marjanović was born on February 11, 1991 in Bijeljina, Bosnia & Herzegovina. He graduated from the Department of Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development of the Faculty of Sciences, University of Banja Luka (B&H) in 2014. In 2015, he completed his master studies in spatial planning at the Faculty of Geography, University of Belgrade (Serbia). Driven by professional curiosity and with an intention to get a broader perspective on contemporary planning theory and practice, he decided to pursue another planning-related degree within the PLANET Europe programme – a joint European master programme in European spatial planning, environmental policies and regional development, developed by Radboud University Nijmegen (NL), Cardiff University (UK) and Blekinge Institute of Technology/ Swedish School of Planning (SE). He graduated from the programme in 2017, obtaining a double degree in European spatial planning and regional development.

Currently, he is employed by t33 Srl, a consultancy from Ancona (Italy), where he is engaged with projects under the scope of EU Cohesion policy and with a focus on European territorial development studies.
Marjan finds his professional interest in the domain of contemporary development factors and processes that influence the theory and practice of spatial planning. He has been actively working on the popularization of planning profession in Bosnia and on the development of domestic spatial planning discourse.
